Insect & Disease Management
Our knowledgeable and educated technicians will visit your properties in at least monthly from April through October to examine, diagnose and treat any Insect & Disease issues accordingly, employing IPM, Integrated Pest Management techniques, maximizing their time with minimal pesticide use.
Organic Tick Control
Ticks of all kinds have become an increasingly huge problem in Central NJ and Bucks County, PA. Treating them with 100% organic applications help suppress their activity. Focusing on house foundations, woodpiles, rock walls and wooded perimeters as well as play/social areas cuts down on tick movement drastically. The typical program is 4 times per season every other month or up to 7 times April - October.
Organic Lawn Care
Feeding the soil is the main focus of treating organically. Since organic lawns start at the soil level, soil testing is highly recommended for a healthy, happy soil profile. Amendments may be recommended. Choose from either our 100% organic or organic based lawn care programs, 3 visits each consisting of 1 pre-emergent application in spring and 2 fertilizer applications in summer & fall. Aeration and overseeding your lawn with a superior seed every other year in fall is also highly recommended.
Landscape Plant Fertilization
Your shrubs & ornamentals are extremely important to your landscapes not only for their beauty but also their value. Feeding them in spring and fall helps maintain that beauty and value for years to come and there are two ways to do it, 100% organic granular fertilizer followed by organic plant conditioner or root zone feeding.
Designed to take the hassle out of caring for your outdoor space, PHO will maintain a neat and well-manicured garden landscape that will enhance the beauty and value of your property. Services may include pruning and dead-heading shrubs, ornamentals & perennials, Insect & Disease Management, fertilizing plant material, and more. Whether you have a small garden or a sprawling estate, we'll create a customized plan that meets your needs.
Shrub & Ornamental Pruning
Power shears tear and rip your valuable shrubs, ornamentals, and small trees, leaving them vulnerable to insect and disease issues. PHO practices the art of hand pruning, utilizing very sharp pruners, hand shears, loopers and hand saws. The difference is very noticeable and much healthier for your plant material.
Spotted Lantern Fly Control
The troublesome SLF has invaded our area. Hatching in early-mid May when temperatures are warm, and growing into adults as early as mid July, they populate on your landscapes and surrounding areas. Use of a 100% organic pesticide provides a contact knock down of every life stage of the insect. In fall it is very important to apply to adult females before they lay their eggs.
Organic Deer Control
Our landscapes are very important to us and we get discouraged when deer, although pretty, invade and make a meal on our valuable plant material. Monthly applications helps suppress their activity causing them to move onto your neighbor's yard.
