100% Organic insect & disease applications for your shrubs, ornamentals, and lawns, as well as Organic Emerald Ash Borer and Spotted Lanternfly treatments are how we strive for excellence in our green world. Our highly qualified and educated technicians employing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) will diagnose your insect or disease issues and prescribe the proper Organic treatment, ensuring your property remains safe and healthy. IPM is the most efficient and responsible method of treating insect and disease issues only treating what NEEDS to be treated. We DO NOT apply Organic pesticides irresponsibly.
Organic Lawn Care
Organic lawns start at the soil level, not the grass level. Feeding the soil is the focus of treating organically. Amending and fertilizing the soil will slowly release the nutrients required for continual vibrant green lawns, less disease issues and less water requirements. Choose from our 100% organic lawn care program or organic based lawn care program, 3 visits each, 1 pre-emergent application in spring followed by 2 fertilizer applications in summer & fall. The use of organic, slow-release fertilizer allows for less applications than what you're accustomed to. PHO also offers 100% Organic Insect Management for lawns. We highly recommend adding weed control and organic plant conditioner treatments to your regiment as well as periodic soil tests (especially if you are a new lawn customer) so we can monitor your Central NJ and Bucks County, PA lawn care needs.
Shrub & Ornamental Pruning
Proper pruning is so important not only to the health of the plant material, but also the appearance. Power shears tear and rip your valuable shrubs, ornamentals, and small trees, leaving them vulnerable to insect and disease issues. PHO practices the art of hand pruning, utilizing very sharp pruners, hand shears, loppers and hand saws. The difference is very noticeable and much healthier for your plant material on your Central NJ and Bucks County, PA landscapes.

Aeration & Over-Seeding
Aeration and overseeding your lawns in Central NJ and eastern Bucks County, PA are best done in September into Early October. Aerating “busts” up the soil thatch layer and lessens surface tension allowing for increased water, nutrients and air into the soil profile. Depending on your landscape layout, we will then overseed your lawn with a blend of tall fescue seed for full sun, a part-sun mix of fescues and bluegrass or a shade mix consisting of tall fescues, bluegrass and rye grass. The warm days and cooler nights as well as usually plentiful moisture aids in successful seed germination.
